Awarded Best of Show and 1st place in the 8th Annual Visual Arts Exhibit of Fort Bend County in 1995, this painting depicts Tamara's life changing decision to quit her legal practice and become a stay-at-home mom. It was inspired by a moment of resignation after dinner when she was spraying the table with her favorite cleaning product and thought "This is my life, this is all I seem to do." The old life is sprayed away by the new one which is filled with spilled milk, macaroni and cheese dinners, a checkbook with no money, as well as all of the magical and irreplaceable moments of childhood. The Green Eggs and Ham dog symbolizes the pivotal moment when the world around us hushes and waits to see how we will react to having said "yes" to the unknown. The irony of the cleaning product name . . . regardless of which decision is made, is no "Cinch".
