On a crisp winter evening I was captured by the simple beauty of the way the light shown on the branches of the pecan trees in our neighborhood. I remembered reading that the ways of love are as varied and complex as the curves and bends of a branch. I wanted to capture this in the entanglement of the branches and the drama of contrast between the light and the dark. Then to make the point, I cut the painting in two. TDK
