While wandering the grounds of St. Charles college in Grand Coteau, La. during a five day silent retreat, I found a heart shaped oak leaf on the ground next to the grand oak tree depicted in the painting. The embracing limbs of the tree symbolized to me the loving arms of God and it was there that I found comfort and solace in my loneliness. TDK
